ROTV self-locking cable termination – Ø11.43

Reusable product lowers life cycle cost of EIVA’s ROTVs 

This cable termination, which connects your steel-armoured tow cable to your ROTV, can be reused as needed thanks to its self-locking design – replacing the need for cable moulding. 

The self-locking mechanism makes field installations and re-terminations easier, while letting you open the termination and inspect the cable if needed. This cable termination consists of a stainless steel housing, stress relief, moulding mass and 2 pin SubConn female pigtail. It provides a safe working load of 1.25 t, tested to a safety factor of over 6x.

The cable termination is compatible with any ScanFish and ViperFish ROTV and suited for steel-armoured cables with a ~6-13 mm outside diameter, made of coax, fibre optic or a hybrid. The termination is designed to fit Ø9.20, Ø11.43, Ø11.80 and Ø12.65 cables. Together with the termination, you will receive a set of three small interchangeable spares, which adjust the inner diameter of the termination to your precise cable. By changing these small parts, you can use the same termination always, even if you often perform surveys requiring different cables.
