The Velodyne VLP-16 is a small, advanced and cost-effective 3D LiDAR sensor. It allows for real-time, 360°, 3D distance and calibrated reflectivity measurements.
It weighs only 860 grams and has a compact footprint of ~Ø 103 millimetres x 72 millimetres. The lack of visible rotating parts means that it is highly resilient in challenging environments.
The VLP-16's dual return capability makes it the ideal choice for surveys carried out with UAVs and other mobile platforms.
