Technical designer – Hardware Development

Technical designer – Hardware Development

EIVA is a leading engineering company delivering cutting-edge solutions to the international maritime industries. We develop and provide equipment, software and various services to customers specialising in ocean sciences, offshore wind, oil and gas, and construction, to name just a few fields we’re active in.

Our product portfolio includes a number of sensor platforms, such as ROTVs (remotely operated towed vehicles), fit for numerous fields of application. We are seeing growing interest in EIVA’s products and ideas that are keeping us at the cutting-edge of the industry.

We have an exceptional team at EIVA and we are on the lookout for a new crew member with a background in technical design to add to our Hardware Development department.

What’s involved?

The successful candidate will join a strong, experienced team of software, mechanical and technical engineers in ensuring that our customers can successfully map oceans, discover forgotten mines, establish offshore wind turbines and much more.

As an EIVA technical designer, you will be part of our Hardware Development department where you will play a vital role in transferring our new products from development to production. You will support our engineers with:

  • Creating and updating production documentation
  • Updating existing 2D and 3D models
  • Assisting in creating and updating BOMs in Navision
  • Structuring and archiving technical documentation and ensuring it’s always up to date

You will be working out of our headquarters in Stilling, Denmark (just one minute away from E45 and 15 minutes away from Aarhus). Consequently, you will need to live in Denmark or be prepared to move here.

The ideal candidate…

  • Holds a technical designer qualification, or similar
  • Is an experienced user in Autodesk Inventor
  • Has a structured and systematic workflow
  • Possesses strong written and spoken English language skills
  • Sees the big picture without losing sight of the details in a fast-paced environment

A knowledge of the products within the maritime surveying and construction industry would be most welcome but is not a requirement.

We know that we operate in a niche industry, so whether you are new to the maritime world, or you have earned your sea-legs, we will equip you with training in our solutions and activities before you dive into the EIVA waters.

Joining the EIVA crew

Joining EIVA means becoming part of a company that takes pride in having an informal and open workplace culture, engaged with high-end, innovative technology in an inspiring environment.

At EIVA, because of how highly we value an individual’s sense of personal responsibility and proactivity, it’s possible to make your mark and surprise us if you find undiscovered opportunities.

We value proper balance between work and private life; something reflected by 15th, 20th and even 25th anniversaries being a common enough event among our colleagues.

We offer various benefits, such as a pension scheme and health insurance, a canteen that no one leaves with an empty stomach, and an active social calendar.
