Learning objectives
The virtual course is structured to provide participants with a solid understanding of EIVA NaviSuite software solutions for survey planning, navigation, and data acquisition. Participants learn how to configure and deploy survey sensors during vessel mobilization, manage subsea navigation operations, and monitor and log survey data using NaviPac and Helmsman Display.
Through a series of realistic, case-based exercises, participants gain practical experience with project planning, waypoint and line planning, instrument configuration, data logging, and operational monitoring. The training also develops an understanding of georeferenced situational awareness in both 2D and 3D environments, enabling participants to confidently support and execute offshore survey operations. Hands-on sessions are guided by an instructor and supplemented by eLearning modules that introduce the key concepts and workflows covered throughout the course.
Throughout the training, participants will:
- Build confidence in planning and executing marine survey operations using NaviPac and Helmsman Display.
- Learn to configure, deploy, and manage survey sensors and navigation systems during vessel mobilization and offshore operations.
- Develop practical skills in project setup, waypoint and line planning, instrument integration, and survey data logging.
