Content

How are the modules categorised?

Courses

The content is divided into courses of the EIVA software and hardware products. Each course contains all the modules related to the product which covers all the features of that product. When you have completed a course, you will receive a certificate to say you have completed all modules for that product.

Essentials modules

Essentials modules are the entry-level eLearning module for each software solution/module/task (ie the first eLearning module you take on a subject). The essentials modules have been made to give a good, solid introduction to and coverage of the software solution/module/task in question but may omit going into detail on some or all topics. The essentials modules neither require any prior knowledge of the solution/module/task in question nor a deep survey background; they only require a general understanding of the domain and usage of the software in question. Having completed the eLearning module, you will have a good understanding of what a given software solution/module can do or how a task can be performed, and you will know how to find the features you need in the software. You will not become an experienced user, but you will be able to start using the software solution/module or performing the task in question.

Advanced modules

Advanced modules are in-depth eLearning modules that build on one or more of the essentials eLearning modules and so require that you have previously taken the relevant essentials module(s). Advanced modules are typically used to provide more examples, more theory, different techniques or detailed feature explanations beyond that which is found in the essentials modules.

Update modules

When EIVA issues a new software release (eg NaviModel 4.0 to 4.1), our ambition is to both update relevant existing eLearning modules for the specific software solution/module and provide an Update eLearning module that just focuses on what is new. Update modules do not explain the full software solution/module/task in depth, so they should not be taken without prior knowledge of the solution/module/task in question.

Which is best – eLearning or EIVA’s classroom courses?

The eLearning site is a work-in-progress, with new modules being added on an ongoing basis. At the moment, it does not cover the same width and detail as our current classroom courses, but we are continually working on creating more content – with a long list of modules to be implemented in the future. See a complete list of all released modules.

Consequently, the eLearning site is not a substitute for the full-length classroom courses, but rather a supplement providing an understanding of the NaviSuite products and keeping you up to date on new releases and products. Once the eLearning site is fully expanded, the classroom course curriculum will be amended to give a more in-depth learning experience for specialists, as the classroom courses are run by EIVA’s top product experts and thus give a unique chance to learn advanced topics and asking very detailed questions – which is not possible via the eLearning site. Therefore, we recommend taking the eLearning modules prior to the classroom courses to get the most out of these – both in the current setup as well as when the eLearning site is fully expanded.

Why can’t I just attend a webinar instead?

The EIVA LIVE webinars are short sessions aimed at giving a brief introduction to new features, solutions and releases. This means that the level of knowledge gained during a webinar does not match that of the eLearning modules or classroom training courses. With eLearning, however, you can access recordings of recent EIVA LIVE webinars even if you couldn’t attend them live!

How to access the EIVA LIVE webinars from your EIVA eLearning user profile?

  1. Log into your EIVA eLearning account (if you do not have one, please purchase from our webshop)
  2. Look for the heading Webinars on your main page, and click EIVA Webinars
  3. If you can not see it, please contact elearning@eiva.com

Will eLearning replace the current documentation site?

Documentation and eLearning are to be seen as a two separate things. At the moment, we are working on transforming our documentation site into a wiki-like site, so the documentation will be even more accessible than it has been. Just like our classroom courses will be redefined in connection with the introduction of our eLearning modules, so too will the documentation (eg more advanced tutorials will not be maintained, as these will be part of the advanced eLearning modules, and the documentation site will going forward consist of reference manuals, short how-tos and FAQs).

Will I get a certificate of completion?

At the end of all NaviSuite eLearning modules, you can complete a quiz to check your level of understanding. Your results on this quiz can be printed out as a proof-of-skills showing your score for the individual module. Each module can be repeated as many times as you wish, so you have many chances to improve your score. EIVA considers a module ’passed’ when you achieve a score of 80%. The module progress is viewable on the page where the module opens in a new window.

Note: The certificate be printed or saved as a PDF until you retry the quiz, then the score will be reset.

When you have completed (and passed) all modules in each course, a certificate documenting this will be generated, which includes an average score of all the modules. This certificate is saved in the system and can be accessed whenever you need it.

Corporate accounts

What is the minimum number of accounts that qualify for a corporate discount?

At least four users must be signed up to qualify for the corporate account discount.

Is there a limit on accounts for a corporate discount?

No, there is no limit. A corporate account team can include an unlimited number of eLearners.

Is the corporate discount good on both purchase and renewal?

Yes, the corporate discount is good on both purchase and renewal; the discount continues to be applied as long as the accounts are active.

Who can see the dashboards and reporting for my team?

One or more team members can be appointed team leader, thereby being able to monitor the progress / module scores of all team members.

What kind of reporting can we see?

You can view both ready-made reports concerning courses, module reports, scores and participation, or you can create your own reports to meet your own specifications, provided the information desired is tracked by eLearning.

Why do corporate accounts qualify for a discount, but general accounts do not?

We are able to offer a discount to corporate accounts since the team will themselves handle their administration, and since we can collect all payments on one invoice. Since these actions are not possible for personal accounts, the discount is only good for corporate accounts of four or more team members.
