New EIVA representative: Dropping anchor in the Gulf of Guinea

15-12-2015

2015 saw the signing of several contracts with new EIVA representatives throughout the world. In December, yet another company was added to the list, as OceanCosmos Nigeria Limited has become the first EIVA representative in Nigeria.

The first Nigerian EIVA representative for the offshore industry

EIVA has added the first Nigerian company to our worldwide network of representatives. As of December 2015, OceanCosmos Nigeria Limited will offer its customers both EIVA hardware and software solutions as a local point of contact that knows the drill of the Nigerian offshore construction and survey industry.

‘It is vital to EIVA to ensure that customers are offered the best possible service both before and after delivery of a product. Further developing our representative network has been a key strategic focus in the past year. The OceanCosmos team have many years of experience in the offshore industry, including first-hand, offshore experience with EIVA NaviSuite. This makes the company a valuable partner for our already established, extensive list of customers involved in hydrographic, geophysical, construction, engineering and other offshore-related survey activities,’ said EIVA Sales Director Jakob Møller Nielsen.

‘Myself and everyone else at OceanCosmos Nigeria Limited very much look forward to being the authorised EIVA representative in Nigeria. We are very excited about the long-term growth of EIVA products throughout Nigeria and other countries in Africa and are glad to be a viable part of this growth process. This newly formed partnership will only enhance EIVA's strong presence in the African offshore survey marketplace,’ said OceanCosmos Nigeria Limited Managing Director Randall J. Franchuk.

Making one of the largest oil exporters a top priority

The applications of the EIVA product portfolio include oil production activities. As Africa is one of the major oil exporters in the world, the company has seen an increasing interest from the African countries – especially Nigeria – throughout the last decade.

‘We are working closely together with many offshore operators in Nigeria, which have seen a growing number of activities with EIVA’s solutions on board. Establishing a collaboration with a local, indigenous Nigerian company was an obvious step to take,’ said EIVA Sales Director Jakob Møller Nielsen.

EIVA will be looking into the possibilities of further expanding activities in Africa to meet the growing demand.
